Who Matthis Abline is
Born in Angers, developed at Landemontais and Carquefou before joining the Rennes academy in 2018, Abline made his Ligue 1 debut on 25 April 2021 against Dijon. He never established himself in Brittany: eleven league appearances in his best season there, and three loans that served as his real education.
The first, at Le Havre in Ligue 2, remains the most productive in proportion: sixteen games and six goals. Then Auxerre, nineteen appearances and two goals, and finally Nantes, twenty two games and five goals in 2023-24.
